Sharon and Chris have worked in the nursing industry for over 50 years combined. They have held many different roles in the acute care setting -A&E, theatre, maternity and orthopaedics to name a few. Both girls then transitioned into aged care 10 years ago where they continue to work as registered nurses. Between the two girls roles in aged care have ranged from supervisory to facility management level. The girls bring with them a wealth of experience, knowledge and a keen interest in sharing information. Safewalk Australia came into being in 2016 after the girls identified the need for a different approach to managing falls. They both continue to work in aged care settings and are watching with interest the implementation of the current aged care standards. The desire to be assisting clients on a more personal level led to an expansion of the business into the NDIS in 2019. This gave the girls the opportunity to provide face to face care and supportive education to carers. They pride themselves in a results driven approach, being very flexible and assisting clients to seek outcomes that are successful for them.
